Michael performs in Art on Ice

Michael, Evgeny Plushenko and Surya Bonaly pose with "My Dream" artists, a group of Chinese girls who are hearing impaired.

Michael and Surya pose with world-renowned violinist Edwin Marton. Michael poses with Barclay James Harvest, whose music he skated to.

Michael performed two numbers in the popular Art on Ice in Zurich, Switzerland January 22-24, 2004.

Michael skated to "Love on the Line", performed live by Barclay James Harvest. "I received the music about a month before the show, so I could have time to choreograph my program," Michael said.

Michael said many bands were playing live to the skaters' performances. "The members of Supertramp and Moody Blues were awesome to hear live," he said.

Also in the show were "My Dream" artists. They are a group of Chinese girls who are hearing
impaired, and they dance as one. "Standing in a line front to back, the 12 girls look like one girl with 24 arms. It is difficult to explain, but they were in such amazing unison and always in the perfect position....not one arm the slightest bit out of position! I guess their attention to
visual detail is a testament to their higher level of awareness to sight," Michael said.

Mövenpick Art on Ice brings together the world's best music and skating stars performing amid a spectacular light show at Zurich's Hallenstadion. Over the past decade the magic of Art on Ice, a production that originated in Switzerland, has enchanted thousands of spectators in arenas throughout Germany and Switzerland and millions more on television.

Stars that have participated in this event include Evgeny Plushenko, Alexei Yagudin, Surya Bonaly, Denise Biellmann, Brian Orser, Oksana Kazakova /Artur Dmitriev and many other champions from around the world.
