Michael Weiss can add co-pilot to his already long resume of activities outside of figure skating.

During a flight from Kansas City to St. Louis last month, Michael was in the cockpit of the chartered DC-9 when it landed with the Champions On Ice Tour cast and crew. "About a half an hour from landing, Mike Collins asked if anybody wanted to sit in the cockpit with the co-pilots," Michael said. "I said "sure" and for the remainder of the flight sat up there. The last 20 minutes the pilots explained what all the instruments were for and the altitudes. Everything
was so cool. You see the landing strip so far away and then home in on it. It’s so completely different landing."
