It was a sunny June day when Michael Weiss arrived at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel, Md., from his home in McLean, a Washington, D.C., suburb.

He was relaxed wearing a short-sleeve button-down shirt, athletic shorts and flip flops. His dark hair now had orange-red highlights and was windblown having driven to practice in his new convertible with the top down.

"I have such a good life," he said.
